Editions of historical sources
One of the representative activities of the Masaryk Institute and the Archives of the CAS is the preparation of critical editions of historical sources. The Institute has a long tradition in this respect, having published dozens of titles in specialised series. Among the most important are the series “Spisy T. G. Masaryka” [Writings of T. G. Masaryk], which were published for the first time in history in their entirety, and the series “Korespondence TGM” [Correspondence of TGM]. The edition “Ego. Paměti, deníky, korespondence” [Ego. Memoirs, Diaries, Correspondence] is also an important series, which focuses on sources from the 19th and 20th centuries.
