Guide to Manuscript Collections in the Czech Republic představuje další svazek ediční řady Průvodce po rukopisných fondech v České republice, vydávané od roku 1995. Shrnuje dosavadní poznatky získané při výzkumu rukopisů uložených na našem území a přináší souhrnné informace o jednotlivých rukopisných fondech, jejich uložení a obsahu, včetně stručného popisu středověkých děl s odkazy na výběrovou literaturu. Rozsáhlá publikace vychází v anglickém jazyce a je určena především zahraniční odborné veřejnosti.

The publication is based on four thematically divided volumes of the Guide to Manuscript Collections in the Czech Republic. The publication brings results of the Department for the Cataloging and Study of Manuscripts from the years 1992-2010 in an extensive English written text. It completes the first stage of the registration of manuscripts, the basic components of long-term project of the General Catalog of Manuscripts, which aims to make our whole wealth of handwritten manuscript and manuscripts of Czech origin available abroad. The publication gives an overview of 1175 institutions in the Czech Republic managing manuscript collections or individual manuscripts and brings information about the numbers, dating and content of manuscripts, including a brief description of the relics created until 1526. A characteristic of the collection, bibliography, possibly a reference to published catalogue is included. Geographical, name and subject indexes serve for orientation in text.
