Publishers

The unit is responsible for publishing and selling most of the Institute’s book and periodical production.

The most extensive editorial project of the Masaryk Institute and the Archives of the CAS is the critical edition of the collected writings of T. G. Masaryk “Spisy T. G. Masaryka”, on which it has been cooperating with the T. G. Masaryk Institute, o.p.s. since 1995, in an estimated volume of 40 volumes. The writings will make Masaryk’s extensive literary activity available to the professional and lay public in its entirety. The series of writings will be followed by the series “Korespondence TGM”. The department also publishes scholarly editions of documents and individual and collective publications dealing with the activities of T.G. Masaryk and E. Beneš, Czech history of the period 1848–1945, the history of science, archives and codicology. Some publications are published in cooperation with other institutions and publishing houses.
