Nový příspěvek EHRI Document Blogu: Talking about Sexualised Violence: The Presentation of Rape and Male Power in an Oral-History Interview

This paper analyzes two seemingly unrelated incidents in oral history interviews dealing with the topics of intimacy and sexualized violence. It offers suggestions on how Holocaust researchers can approach the topic of sexualized violence, especially when we have a lack of information and the division between perpetrator and victim is unclear. As the paper suggests, critically examining sexualized violence during the Holocaust and uncovering its ambiguous content can lead to a better understanding of male power, power relations and hierarchies and help make hidden power relations visible.
