As of 1 January 2024, the Masaryk Institute and Archives of the CAS has a new advisory body – the International Advisory Board.

"The Board will be an important advisory body in the scientific development of the Institute, establishing international cooperation and attracting promising international colleagues. Its composition reflects the disciplinary diversity of our institute and we expect it to be of great help in the preparation of the regular five-year evaluation of the institutes of the Academy of Sciences," commented Rudolf Kučera, director of the MIA CAS.

The chair of the International Advisory Board is Mark Cornwall from the University of Southampton, and its members are Maria Theisen from the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Jana Osterkamp from the University of Augsburg, Anna Echterhölter from the University of Vienna and Maciej Janowski from the Polish Academy of Sciences.
