Edvard Beneš

It is possible to get acquainted with the personality of Edvard Beneš on several levels. The Masaryk Institute and Archives of the CAS manages in its Department of Personal and Historical Collections the extensive written estate of Edvard Beneš (a total of 1145 cartons, i.e. archival boxes). Other related archival material is also stored in other institutions. Beneš's personal fond is accompanied by a detailed inventory, published in print in 2013. The series Edvard Beneš , the Germans and Germany; Edvard Beneš - documents; Minutes of meetings of the Czechoslovak government in London are associated with the personality of Edvard Beneš. There is also numerous literature on the personality of E. Beneš and Czechoslovak politics of the period, which is stored in the library of the MIA CAS.
